Muzeum nové generace

An interactive exhibition connecting the history of the former Cistercian monastery in Žďár nad Sázavou with contemporary audiovisual language. Using animation, sound, light installations and interactive elements, it tells the story of the place from the Middle Ages through the Baroque to the work of architect Jan Blažej Santini-Aichel.

A series of audiovisual objects was created for the exhibition: a multi-plane animated film dedicated to František the woodcarver, an interactive audiovisual game exploring the creation of a medieval manuscript, and a spatial projection dedicated to Baroque sculpture combining expressive dance with recorded sculptures in a dynamic spiral composition.

A separate installation dedicated to the symbolism of light in Santini's architecture documents, through a series of timelapse videos, the movement of light through space and the principles by which Santini composed architecture as a changing organism of light responding to the daily cycle and the movement of visitors.
