Místa zlomu

An audiovisual exposition working with authentic memories of witnesses from the Moravian-Silesian Region. The core of the installation is interactive work with sound — the voices of witnesses are transmitted via a frequency-modulated laser beam, and visitors capture them with a light-sensitive reader held in their hand. The act of listening thus becomes active searching and discovery.

The exposition maps the stories of political prisoners, war veterans, miners and families marked by the transformation of the Czech-Polish border in the Těšín Silesia region. The installation includes a Czech-Polish documentary film and a large-format audiovisual projection of historical photographs with original sound design.

Carefully prepared photographs and facsimiles of documents printed on period paper create the atmosphere of a genuine archive. The space is further enhanced by slide projectors distributed as fragments of personal memory.
